Bird Watchers

BIRD WATCHERS

If you love to watch and listen to chirping of all sorts of beautiful birds, you came to the right place! I have learned more about birds in the last 12 months than I had learned in the last 57 years. I have come to the conclusion that most people are too busy these days to stop and enjoy the very special gifts of nature that God has given us.

Attracting Birds is easy! If you don't have a wide variety of birds of every kind and color right in your own back yard, you probably haven't done anything to attract them. It is so easy that anyone can be a serious Bird Watcher. Most birds have certain seasons when the congregate in larger flocks. I have had flocks of humming birds so thick that I literaly stood in the doorway with a humming bird feeder in one hand, and a camera in the other, taking close up photos while the humming birds literaly drank from my hand. It helps to stand in a shadow with your hand holding the feeder is extended into full sun light.

Gold Finches by the dozens! All you need to know about attracting flocks of beautiful black and yellow American Gold Finches is two words ... "THISTLE SEED" ... You can buy a simple tube feeder, which usually come with changeable feeding ports. For finches, install the tiny thistle ports which only allow one tiny seed at a time to be pulled out. Fill the Finch feeder with black thistle seed. The feeder and thistle seed ar available at any pet shop or Wal-Mart store.
